These boats were designed and built for Cook Inlet Spill Prevention and Response Inc. (CISPRI) of Nikiski, Alaska to be used in spill response training and operations. These mini tugs are fast, maneuverable, and tow hard. These skiffs are built on the highly successful Bay Weld Seine Skiff platform with the addition of an enclosed operators console with a heater and electronics to keep the operator comfortable all day long. The speed of the skiff allows it to deploy quickly and the towing capacity of 3,800 pounds of Bollard pull allows the tugs to tow oil boom and skimmer equipment at the same speed as much larger vessels.
