Commissioned by a multi-generation fishing family, Freeberd is a no-compromise limit seiner built to meet the unique challenges of fishing in Prince William Sound. Freeberd is powered by twin 750-hp John Deere engines with water jets, and features an innovative driveline configuration that allows space for a 140,000-pound fishhold capacity, the build required extensive design and engineering solutions – a specialty for Bay Wed. This vessel exemplifies Bay Weld’s growing capabilities and Alaskan craftsmanship.
