“Joanne Song” – 26’ x 9’ Walk Thru Cabin – 6 Passenger Charter Boat

This boat was designed and built for the remote Alaska operators at “SIlver Salmon Creek Lodge” on the West side of Cook Inlet. They require a shallow draft vessel that is still well suited to make the long runs across the rough waters of Cook Inlet as comfortable as possible. The lodge is located at the head of a long shallow beach with no dock, so the boat was outfitted with hydraulic jack plates to lift the outboards for shallow operations, and a bow beach landing door was added to get lodge guests on and off the boat with ease. The boat doubles as a supply hauler, so a side cargo door was added to allow fuel barrels and freight to be loaded and unloaded without having to go over the gunnel. With the shallow V hull to accommodate the low water use, the boat gets improved fuel efficiency when compared to other deep V hulls. This is the second Bay Weld built for this successful Alaska lodge operation.
