“Aligo Point” – 43’ x 13.5’ USCG Inspected Commercial Passenger and Freight Vessel – 28 passengers or 10,000# cargo

This boat was designed and built for Alaska Wildland Adventures to transport passengers and cargo to their remote wilderness lodge out of Seward on Alaska’s Gulf Coast.  This vessel carries a USCG certification for 28 passengers.  The owners lodge has a shallow beach landing and no dock, so a landing craft design was necessary to load and unload passengers.  Powered by triple 300 hp outboards, this boat is reasonably simple in systems, but performs very well weather light or loaded.  A hydraulic deck crane, electric winch system for the bow gate, electric outboard lifts, anchor windlass, kayak storage system, power inverter, dual cabin heaters, marine head system, compact galley, and dual side access doors on the deck round out the features.  The final major design criteria was to be able to haul the owners tractor to the lodge in the off season.  To do this, a hinged front cabin panel was created to allow the tractor to roll into the main cabin after the removable bench seating is cleared out.  A wheel path structural load design makes this unique feature possible.  This vessel truly is a transformer of a boat and can accomplish many tasks to support the owners remote lodge operations.
