Bay Welding of Homer, Alaska, is located on beautiful Kachemak Bay with access to the Cook Inlet and Gulf of Alaska
Serving Alaska for 37 years, Bay Welding’s focus is the construction of custom aluminum boats for State and Government agencies, commercial fishermen, charter operators, and private users. Bay Welding has built to specification 79 custom vessels in the last 15 years, 28 of which are 30 feet or longer. Founded as a local metal repair and fabrication firm for the commercial fishing fleet, Bay Welding has evolved into one of the Northwest’s premier boat builders.
Combining three generations of commercial fishing background with the latest in fabrication and vessel design, Bay Welding’s innovation and dedication to detail have kept them at the forefront of Alaska’s custom boat builders despite difficult economies and increasing competition. Bay Welding’s stellar reputation amongst commercial fishermen statewide is testament to the strength, integrity, and functionality of its vessels. In 2003, 2009, and 2010 Bay Welding won contracts to construct patrol vessels for the State of Alaska. All three vessels have been met with rave reviews by the State, and have quickly become the favorite of those officers operating them in the field. Family owned and operated, Bay Welding designs and completes all aspects of vessel construction in house, a process which ensures premium quality and detail-oriented craftsmanship. Bay Welding hires locally, buys locally, and takes great pride in their product.
